Frequently Asked Questions

What about my child’s uniform?

Players will be provided one jersey, one pair of socks, and one pair of black shorts. Players are responsible for their own shin guards, ball, and shoes (can be cleats; no “toe” cleats).

How many games are there?
Each season is approximately 12 weeks long. 5U-6U will have 6 games each season. 7U-19U will have 8 games scheduled.  Due to inclement weather, we cannot guarantee that all games will be played, though we do try to reschedule games whenever it is possible to do so.  10U & Above age divisions also have an end-of-season tournament. The link to the club calendar is at the bottom of every web page or  https://calendar.google.com/calendar/[email protected]

8U-12U: Size #4
15U and above: Size #5

When and Where are practices and games?
Your child's coach will contact you with the specific date / time and field location, typically 1-2 weeks before practices start. Games and practices are at Drakes Creek Park or at Volunteer Park at Arrowhead. The web site has a field map for each season. Practices can begin as early as 5pm or as late at 7:00 or 7:30pm depending on the age division.

How often do we practice?
Usually U5-U8 practice 1 time per week.  U10-U19 practice 2 times per week.   Please bring the appropriate attire and equipment to participate, as well as water or some other appropriate drink to maintain proper hydration. Games are usually held on Saturdays, but we must  schedule several games during the week to accommodate other events in the park. If you cannot attend a practice or a game, it is encouraged that you notify the coach that your child will not be present.

Traffic and Parking
Do not stop and unload players on the road between the low water bridge and back parking area. This impedes traffic flow and creates a potential hazard. There is no parking anywhere along the road between the low water bridge and back parking area. Parking behind the concessions building is reserved and is not for general parking.

When does registration begin/end?

Regular registration is open for approximately 4 weeks. For our spring season, it is open in January/February. For our fall season, it is open June/July.  Late registration is open through the first game as long as there is an opening in the division.

How will I know if my child is registered?

Once completed, you will receive an automatic email verification of your purchased registration fees. If you do not receive an email, please check to see if you have left your order in your "shopping cart".  A player left in your shopping cart has not been registered.

Is there a late registration?

Late registration incurs a $10 late fee.  If your child’s division is full, our system will not ask for payment but will put you on a “wait list”.

When are games played?

U5 - U6 games will be played on Saturdays. U7 - U19 will play the majority of their games on Saturday and will also include  several night games during the season.

Weeknight games

If there are games scheduled during the week night there will no practices for any teams in those divisions on those game nights.

Can we request a specific coach or team?

.There are 1000 players in our club which makes it difficult to honor every request for every player.  We DO work to keep all siblings practicing on the same nights.

What are the age divisions?

Age groups are done by birth year – January 1 to December 31. These can be found under the parents tab link. Or Click here >>> AGE GROUPS <<<

When will I hear from the coach?

Our volunteer coaches get their team rosters at the coaches meeting. This happens the week before practices start. For the fall season you will hear in August and for the spring season you will hear in March.

If I have to withdraw my player, will I receive a refund?

Prior to the season starting,  you will receive a credit to Sports Connect account to be used for a future season, less $8.50 administration fee.  If the player’s uniform is not returned, the cost of the uniform will be deducted.

Can my child play with the following: casts, jewelry, hair accessories and/or earrings?

Adult referee and/or trainer approval for hard cast.   Hard or pointed hair accessories, jewelry including watches and earrings are not permitted on a player per FIFA rules.  The player may wear a headband/soft pony tail holders/ribbons and in the cold weather a soft beanie or cap.
